PREFERRED LAND TITLE is following these rules for closings in our offices for your safety:

Beginning Monday March 23rd, we will be closing our lobby and will be taking care of customers in person by appointment for closings.  Please send title orders or request for information by email to farmington@preferredlt.com and you may also call us at 573-756-6721 and Fax anything to 573-756-0519.   Our #1 concern is for the safety of CUSTOMERS and OUR EMPLOYEES as well.   

 

We are asking only those who will be signing documents to come to the closing.  We ask that real estate agents and loan officers do not come unless it is absolutely necessary and to please be available by telephone during the scheduled closing time to be available for questions for their clients and our closing staff.  Any documents that need to be presented may be emailed prior to closing to the specific closer or to farmington@preferredlt.com   We ask that children NOT be brought to closing as we care very much for their safety.   We know there are circumstances where there is no one to watch them, and we understand this, but if possible, please make other arrangements for their care. 
 

Our office procedures and requests for closing:

1.  Arriving to a Closing: Guests are encouraged to use hand sanitizer and/or wash hands upon arrival at our office.

2. Symptomatic Clients: Any guest who exhibits symptoms that may be like coronavirus (fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc.) must notify staff upon arrival and we will escort out of common areas into a private closing room.  

3. We are practicing Social Distancing - When possible, stay approximately six feet from others.  Closing rooms are close quarters so do your best.

4. Children:  If they must come with you, they must remain with parents in the closing room.  We cannot provide toys or distraction items for children.

5. We will provide hand sanitizer or wipes if they are available, otherwise we will encourage hand washing in the restroom before and after any closing or other meeting.  

6. Closing Table Items: Pens will not be re-used closing to closing.

7. No members of the public will be allowed past the front lobby or closing rooms without an escort. 

8. We appreciate the patience of our clients for these efforts to help control the spread of disease.

9. We are also following our previously posted office procedures for hygiene and sanitation throughout the office.
